Rosendale Street Festival Fundraiser

  • Rosendale Theatre 408 Main Street Rosendale, NY, 12401 United States (map)

An amazing evening of music and film will be taking place to help support the 2024 Rosendale Street Festival.

The lineup includes:

Callie Mackenzie

Callie Mackenzie is a Hudson Valley-based musician, artist, and organizer who is passionate about poetry and music. Armed with a guitar, Callie writes music with an acoustic soul feel that reflects their lived experiences as a Queer Black woman experiencing the quest for liberation and the everyday feels of love, hope, joy, and loss.

The Gold Hope Duo

When Ameripolitan award-winning artist Lara Hope teams up with internationally touring, upright bass-slapping pro, Matt “The Knife” Goldpaugh, they become…LARA HOPE’S GOLD HOPE DUO! This husband and wife team is hitting it hard, spreading “Merry-Cana”, a term they coined to describe their genre. They will be bringing their unique brand of stripped-down, upbeat Americana, Rhythm & Blues, Country, Folk, Rockabilly, and a pinch of humor to a town near you! Living by the motto “If you can’t do it, kazoo it!”, this pair is sure to make you laugh, drink, dance, and grab your partners behind!

Joey Eppard

Joey Eppard is a true musical triple threat: an accomplished vocalist, a brilliant songwriter, and an innovative master of his own finger-style approach to guitar playing. He is the driving force behind the Hudson Valley-based rock band “3,” as well as a renowned solo performer, often leaving his audiences shocked that so much sound can emanate from a single human being. During his career, he has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan, garnering a reputation for intense and passionate live performances that often leave his guitar with nary a string.

Circus of Wolves

Circus Of Wolves pitches a big open tent: inclusive enough to allow a group of distinct and diverse players to each express their own unique voice. The music brings together elements of folk, jazz, funk, Latin, soul, and a tinge of rock. The wolves are the players and the influences they bring to the circus. From the very beginning, the concept was to celebrate diverse musical influences. To borrow from the rock band format but not religiously follow its template. To mix styles together. To find a unique voice that people will recognize while incorporating different stylings, phrasings, and tones. To be electric and acoustic, natural and authentic.

The evening will also feature a short film about the 2023 Rosendale Street Festival created by HUDSY.

The weather at last year’s festival was a big challenge. There was a tornado warning and lots of showers on Sunday morning which deterred people from coming out. Unfortunately, the funds raised were lower than usual. To make the 2024 festival a reality some money needs to be raised to help cover expenses.

Uncle Tony’s Tavern will feature great wine and local craft beer. There will also be a raffle featuring a membership to the Rosendale Theatre, gift certificates to Guts n Glory Tattoos, Victoria Gardens, and Ollie’s Pizza, tickets to the Woodstock Film Festival, and stays at Hasbrouck House and Mohonk Mountain House.

The 2024 festival will be taking place on July 20 and 21.

Checks and cash will be accepted as well at the event. Checks should be made out to Music Festival of Rosendale, Inc..

If you cannot attend, donations can also be sent to: Music Festival of Rosendale, Inc., P.O. Box 457, Rosendale, NY 12472.
